The AT&T Tilt can handle high-speed data connectivity via AT&T’s 3G mobile broadband data network, which is available in most major metropolitan areas. The AT&T 3G network uses the UMTS 850/1900/2100 network (also known as WCDMA), making it possible to enjoy a variety of feature-rich wireless multimedia services with speeds up to 3.6 Mbps. It also gives AT&T the advantage of offering simultaneous voice and data services. You’ll also enjoy 3G broadband speed connectivity across the globe with tri-band UMTS/HSDPA capabilities, which allows the Tilt to operate in Japan and Korea, in addition to the more than 135 countries in which AT&T offers international data roaming.

The Jazz Real Book Lead Sheets

Posted in July 21st, 2008

The Real Book is a bible for jazz musicians. It contains hundreds of pages of lead sheets.
Lead sheets are transcriptions that contain a melody and chord symbols;
no instrumentation, no dynamic markings, no detailed arrangements.

The Real Book’s lead sheets are based on separating content from form.
The written part — melody and chords — contains the core identity of the piece.

However, most all of the additional considerations — instrumentation, chord voicings duration of solos etc.— are at the discretion of the performers.

In this way a song can be viewed independently of a particular recording’s qualities.

For instance, if Thelonious Monk plays “How High The Moon,” for example, there would be angular melodic lines and reharmonizations in the context of a baseline version (say, Rogers And Hart’s),. Whether or not Monk is too dissonant is completely separate from whether you think “How High The Moon” is a good song.

After doing some research on the Allianz annuity, I found out some info about them. Annuities have different types of design. A popular design is where it averages, based on the market index. Another design works like a ratchet, where it locks in growth.

Getting the ‘Top Model’ look the safe and healthy way

Although teen models have traditionally been thought of as very tall and very skinny, it is no longer a requirement, and agencies are now looking for people of different shapes and sizes more and more often. However, fashion photography models are often still expected to be able to fit into sample size clothing that is generally no bigger than a US size 6. If you do not have a naturally small body type, there is still work out there for you, but maintaining a healthy diet and exercise regime is a must for any model, teenage or otherwise. Fad diets and eating less is unhealthy at any age, but it is an especially bad habit to get into when your body is still changing and developing.

Last night I didn’t have much to do so I went to this site. Sick leave in fact is a special kind of disability insurance. I just asked a friend about sick leave and he didn’t even know what I was talking about. I think it’s because most non-government companies don’t have it. Sick leave can range from an hour to many days. Here’s a website about short term disability insurance for individuals.

The Silent Timer Is A Great Tool for Artists

Artists tend to be independent and to follow their own inner voice. So it’s not surprising to find many artists that practice yoga, qigong, tai chi, meditation, or other such practices. A great tool for any of these practices (as well as the creative art process itself) is the Silent Timer from Inner Practice Timer. The Silent Timer is a timer that allows for total concentration without having to watch the clock. It marks time by 5 minute increments of silence. It ends the selected period of silence with the mellow sound of a Tibetan Singing Bowl. It can be downloaded from the Inner Practice Timer website or purchased in a hardcopy version from CafePress.
